Red, White N Blue

Hi guys, today em back with another post for Gingerloft Design Team Assignment :). This fortnight we have a color challenge i.e. Red, White n Blue challenge. I am using a gingerloft digi provided by the generous Tami :).
The image is colored with water color pencils and so is the lite blue background :). I have done faux stitching with a blue pointer.

The blue dotty paper is from hallmark and the blue lines paper is from my stash. Couldnt add much of bling to this card as it is a guy's card so i added little tiny things to make it look complete, like tiny silver sequins on  the tip of shoes and red stick on's to make them look like shoe buttons :).

Also added 3 buttons in the corner. I love layers so i did lots while making this card. all the stars and circles are hand drawn and cut and then i did faux stitching :).

The Sentiment is handwritten too. My printer is still not working :(

Another view to show the elements of the cards clearly.

Challenges:
Come n get it, Pan Pastel, Robyn Fetish, Scrapy Frogs, 2 Sisters Challenge, Di's Digi
Sweet Stamping, ATC n Cards, Card Making Mama's, Delicious Doodle

My First Vintage Project

I am back again with another project. Its a notepad again.......:). i actually am having fun making them so you guys are gonna see them a lot in the up coming days. And i need to post this soon because its my mom's birthday today so there is a lot to do :).

This project is for the DT assignment at Gingerloft challenges. This week the theme is vintage. The pretty image used is provided by the very generous Tami.

I have never done anything vintage before so its my very first take. I hope it looks vintage :). The image is colored with water color pencils. The flowers used at the top of the tag are from my brand new stash :). Got them in many colors :).

The backing papers, ribbons, pearls, flowers and all the gems are from my stash as well. The butterflies are an internet download. The lavender flower though is totally handmade.

Inside view of my project. decorated according to the same there. Added a butterfly and bow inside too, to make it look fancy.

The closer view of one of backside of the top cover. i have layered it to increase its strength, plus i also love layers :).

A close up of the inside holding the decorated notepad with a pen holder.

A final shot of the completed project to show clearly. No templates used to make this. All measurements are mine :). I hope u can see a pin attached to the bow. Its not clearly showing in the pic though.

You are sweet as a cupcake (Notepad)

Hi guys :)  its me again with a project this time. I love decorated notebooks and notepads for use. So this time i thought why not make some :). The very cute image is a freebie from Slikeje. I truly love her images :), they are really cute.

this image is colored with markers and water color pencils. I have embossed it a little to add some dimension. This is the top front view of the notepad.

Oh....! i forgot to mention its not just a notepad its all decorated with covering flap and a base to keep it safe :). This shows the inside of my project with the notepad. Made a bow and stuck it to the top of the notepad. Also made a pen holder, so we dont have to run anywhere when we need to jot down things.

A view showing both the decorated insides. The pattern paper and ribbon are from my stash. And to mention more i didnt use any fancy templates for making this. These measurements are all mine and this is totally handmade.

Showing the top with a bow and a sentiment which is computer generated :). Hope u guys like it as much as i do. And if u want to make one, i can always help with the measurements plus dont forget to layer it a little too, to make it sturdy so your edges dont turn when u keep it in your purse or bag.

The Flowering Tree

Its me again :) third day in a row, which i kind of like... lolx. The image is the flowering Tree by Tami of Ginger Loft. Once again its for the DT assignment of  Gingerloft for the circles challenge that is still running on our blog. To see the wonderful entries by other members check out here
I have colored the image with markers and added circular sequins and diamante. Though the diamante are not very clear in the picture. And to go with them i have used a pattern paper that has circular flower shaped designs on it.

I have distressed certain corner, i hope they show in the pic. The ribbon is from my stash, and after tying its bow i stuck a silver sequin over it :). Hope there are enough of circles on my project :).  though i like it more in person because its one of my favorite color combos.

You Can Do It (Freebie Challenge Gingerloft)

Today i am posting another card that was also made for my DT assignment for the freebie challenge at Gingerloft. Tami provided us with a cute freebies image and sentiment both.

Made a really simple card. Just did the cards with some leaves which were hand drawn and cut. The tiny shiny flowers that u see between the leaves are from my stash and they were really looking nice with the tree so i added them.

The image is colored with water color pencils. The grass is also hand drawn. I raised the image a little to add some dimension. In the corner i added a large button and the sentiment is cut with patterned scissors and handwritten. It makes a nice male card.

The Love Box

Hi guys, I am posting after a long time. Was very busy with things at home. Though made a few things but was unable to post them up.

This is the love box i made to post for my DT assignment for the Gingerloft Challenge Blog. Its totally hand made without any templates or any tools, just plain card stock and glue :)

The hugs and kisses symbols are all hand drawn and cut and so are the hearts. I have outlined them with a silver marker to make them stand out.

I added a polka dot hallmark pattern paper on the inside and all the red polka dots are by punching the red card stock.

Another view of the box to show the curves of the heart :). On top i have used a shiny n very thin red lace.

Another shot of the box to show it clearly. It had good enough space inside to fill it up with chocolates or even a medium sized gift for a loved one. perfect for valentines.
